Yes my dear friends! It is now released. :)

This is a big news for all brush-lovers, because they’ve added Photoshop .abr brushes support. Now you can have all Photoshop brushes in your GIMP, just get yourself GIMP 2.4 version :D

another great news it that…
[quote from gimp.org]:
The tool options now include a brush size slider that affects both the parametric and bitmap brushes. This has been an oft-requested feature from both digital painters and photo editors.

Unlike previous versions of GIMP, regardless of whether you’re using a bitmap brush, parametric brush or even a picture tube (mutiple bitmaps), you can easily set the brush size with either the tool options dock slider or an external device such as a MIDI slider or knob or a USB device like the Griffin Powermate.

No problems with too-big-brushes-in-gimp by hawksmont anymore :D

That is a wonderful information for all GIMP and brushes users. And I just wonder, should I continue releasing .gbr files? Maybe .abr files would be enough? Please share your thoughts

Just tried installing the .abr files into gimp 2.4 and it worked beautifully. I honestly think that the .abr file(s) will be enough. It is one file to move over versus the individual .gbr files for each brush. I love that they did this. I’ve been using 2.4 since it came out and I’m glad that they have fixed the bugs. Thank you for sharing your wonderful brushes!

Not to sure if it would be needed or not. I did attempt downloading a photoshop brush set and it did not work. But, I could have easily messed something up as I am new to the world of GIMP and not all the computer savvy. lol If it does work, then I am sure your time could be better spent elsewhere. :)

I had all the brushes you created that I could find. Then I had a hard drive failure so I am back for them again. Great work on your brushes. They are appreciated even if we do not always comment. Thank you.
