We encountered some really bad troubles lately. I guess hawksmont Universe became too popular…and unfortunately too tempting for hackers. Someone broke into our servers through some holes in our security system and put some trojans for phishing purposes.
I’m really sorry for what happened.
I’d like to state, that we’ve fixed the bugs and cleared our servers as soon as the attacks occured, but I’m aware that this issue put hawksmont Universe in a bad light. I assure you that there are NO TROJANS in brushes files (if there are – they are not original files, so please report that fact to us as soon as possible!!!), we also don’t do any phishing or e-mail advertising.
Your safety at hawksmont Universe is a very important matter to us, so if you notice something bad, please report it immediately!!.
Hackers won’t be using hawksmont Universe for their fun!

Hey guys, if I click on the link “photoshop brushes”, I get an trojan warning. will say that your fixing didn’t work =(

Well, we fix one thing and then we find something in other place :/ sometimes we are just hopeless
Well, I’m a graphic designer, not a hacker.
I just hope we got rid of trojans for good this time.

Truly am I glad to see that you’ve ridden yourself of those Trojans. I do appreciate all the brushes and images you’ve aloud many users to download. They have helped me personally and professionally. I do give credit of course to this site for the brushes I use, and recommend them to everyone of my colleagues. I do hope you update again soon.

hey, i love your brushes they rock!! A while back I downloaded some gimp brushes, and ive recently got photoshop, will the brushes work on ps cs3 if i upload them?

Hey, I just found a trojan on my system after activating one of the brushes. Lando trojan… Updated McAfee takes it out easily enough, and it only works through IE, which I don’t use…
BTW, love the brushes… Awesome work!

Hey, I have this Lando Trojan and McAfee says it is deleted but every time I try to search something on Google it closes out my browser. Does anyone know how to get rid of it?

Love Love Love your brushes! I’m so glad you’ve got the trojan under control. I came to your site during the problem and my AVG listed it as an infected site. I’m SOOOOOO glad that it’s back up and running
I’m referring others here as well (there’s a group of us learning Photoshop on our own). Thanks you for all that you do
